Who Is Recording Artist Amanda J. Henderson?
Ms. Amanda J. Henderson M.S. started singing at an early age. Her musical journey began in Chicago, IL, and has landed her in Paducah, KY. Ms. Henderson is currently employed through the University of Kentucky as a 4-H Youth Development Agent with McCracken County Cooperative Extension Service. She is also an active member of the Harrison Street Missionary Baptist Church (HSMBC) in Paducah, KY where Rev., Dr. James L. Hudson is her pastor. Her musical experience began by singing in the youth choirs at Lilydale First Baptist Church of Chicago, were Rev., Dr. Alvin Love is pastor. Amanda has sang with, as well as directed, college and church choirs across the state of Illinois.
Over the years, Amanda’s musical background also includes singing with several recording artist such as Monique Whittington, New Direction, A Different Sound, Bryan Wilson, and New City Mass Youth Choir. Currently Ms. Henderson, along with 2 other team mates, provides leadership to the music ministry of HSMBC. Over her years at Harrison Street, Henderson has provided leadership for all musical entities at the church. Current musical involvements include singing with The Good Samaritan Singers, a trio consisting of Amanda and her two sisters. In January of 2018, Ms. Henderson introduced herself, as a solo artist named, Amanda Joyce. She released her first single entitled, Be Free, and will continue to spread the message of freedom and overcoming strongholds. Her love for Christ, people, and music allow her to strive towards lifting bowed down heads and touching spirits through song.
