Angelo & Veronica are celebrating 30 years together in music by releasing never before heard tracks of their earliest album, The Original Recordings 1990-1991. Their official debut album, Higher Place was released in August 1992. They have won three Dove awards including the controversial Contemporary Black Gospel Song of the Year for their songwriting and performance for “God Knows”.Angelo Petrucci, Italian born Boston native, started in music at just 13 years old. After his father, a professional guitar player, became ill and was hospitalized, Angelo replaced his dad at his gigs at 13 years old. Angelo won a full scholarship to Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA becoming an established guitar player and singer. Veronica Torres, of Puerto Rican descent, born in the Bronx, NY met Angelo when she was twenty years old while singing and attending Berklee in Boston. Angelo says as soon as he saw Veronica he said, “that’s my wife.” They were married in April 1992.Veronica Petrucci has recorded three solo albums including Made It Out Alive. Angelo produced “No Fear” and “Expecting Great Things” featuring John P Kee. Made It Out Alive album and her book, How I Made it Out Alive, are her personal testimony of overcoming fear and depression.Angelo and Veronica have received honorary doctorates in sacred music. They teach online vocal training called Master Your Voice. They have an online ministry, Higher Place Church every Sunday. Angelo and Veronica continue to write and produce music that is soulful, timeless and relevant.
