Malique Hawkins AKA Liq from the Peake is from Chesapeake, VA, but is currently a senior at North Carolina A & T State University in Greensboro, NC where he majors in business management. He is also a motivational speaker, songwriter, YouTuber, a voiceover artist for Hasbro and Google, the founder-CEO of The Movement Clothing (birthed in May 2017 to take a stand against bullying, suicide, racism, and violence), and a professional actor with 19 years of varied experience in stage, television, film, and print. Malique is known for his appearances on UPtv and TV One as well as his co-starring role in “Troop 491: The Adventures of the Muddy Lions” and his latest role in the movie, “Hope of Escape”, as George Price.  Additionally, Malique worked alongside Dawnn Lewis and Tony Terry in the domestic violence movie, “Cycle”. Malique’s oratorical gift has afforded him the opportunity to open for Tamela Mann, Marvin Sapp, Shirley Caesar, and Deitrick Haddon to name a few.

Liq from the Peake is a CLEAN music artist who uses his music to bridge the gap across generations. He is also the Co-founder of the 1891 Hot 10 which gives student-artists the opportunity to hone their craft while continuing their educational endeavors. Liq from the Peake’s song “Like Dat” is featured in the film, “Yogurt Raisin”. His 1st album entitled, “The Inauguration”, was released on August 27, 2021. Liq from the Peake’s song, “2 Cups”, from that album has been played in DTLR stores nationwide. His latest single, “Drunk Poetry”, was released on November 11, 2022.
